PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
While completing 10 years of military service in the United States Marine Corps and later the Army National Guard, I continued working my way through college fulfilling my undergraduate requirements necessary to enter Chiropractic College. I then completed the intensive five-year program at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL (this is considered by most to be the best chiropractic college in the U.S.). At the National College of Chiropractic I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic. Upon graduation in 1993, I began my professional career in the Chicago area.
I have been working as a Doctor of Chiropractic since 1993 in a variety of clinical settings. I have worked full-time, part-time or as a temporary fill-in chiropractor in over 26 different clinics. I am proficient in numerous Chiropractic Techniques, and Nutritional Therapies and I have training in Acupuncture, Applied Kinesiology, Flexion-Distraction, Sacral Occipital Technique, Electro-Dermal / Biomeridian Testing and Cold Laser Therapy. I am licensed to practice in five states including basic acupuncture in IL. I regularly attend up to date postgraduate training seminars in the latest chiropractic techniques, and clinical nutrition. I have a additional training in salivary hormone testing, naturopathic therapies and clinical nutrition.
While working in Chicago, IL I worked in some of the busiest clinics in the Chicago area. For over 2 years, I worked in a busy multi-discipline clinic two blocks from Wrigley Field where the Chicago Cubs play baseball. There, I worked along side another chiropractor, an Anesthesiologist/Pain Management M.D., a Podiatrist, a Doctor of Naturopathy/Nutritionist, a Neurologist, and a massage therapist. Since 1993, I have successfully treated tens of thousands of patients including newborns & infants to 95 year old seniors, as well as many college, semi-pro, and professional athletes from the NBA, NFL, CFL, the world’s strongest man, Mr. Universe, Mr. World, and even a few rock n’ roll super stars.
I have also worked for the nations largest chiropractic HMO insurance company, where I was employed as a Clinical Care Manager responsible for the review and approval of over 100,000 chiropractic cases ensuring proper chiropractic care is delivered to patients nationwide. I also reviewed the HMO credentialing application of 100’s of chiropractors nationwide. This is a highly respected and sought after position. I also have experience as a nutritional consultant for Saber Sciences in Carlsbad, CA, a salivary adrenal hormone testing & nutrition laboratory made famous by Susan Sommers Book, “The Sexy Years”. There, I worked under Dr. Michael Borkin, NMD a pioneer in natural hormone balancing.
